Our Mission
Pro Bono Publico is a Civil Society Organization registered in Greece, and specifically a Civil Non-Profit Enterprise (Αστική Μη-Κερδοσκοπική Εταιρία). It is founded by lawyers and legal experts with a particular focus on Human Rights litigation. The statute of Pro Bono Publico outlines its purpose of defending an open and inclusive society without discrimination, particularly focusing on vulnerable, minority, disadvantaged, and special population groups. The organization aims to combat discrimination and racism while promoting European values, democracy, and social solidarity. It engages in strategic litigation to bring about broader social changes. Pro Bon Publico’s specific objectives include legal representation, research on combating discrimination and environmental justice, advocacy for human rights, promotion of climate justice and environmental protection, participation in research programs, organizing conferences and workshops, and providing advisory and support services. It also emphasizes the promotion of social welfare, social inclusion, and social cohesion.
